Have a trip coming up that you have been waiting for? But also want to stay on track with fat loss? If so, read on.
First of all, I would say, if you have a special trip coming up, remember to enjoy it. If you travel for a week or two, that should not ruin everything. So remember to enjoy.
Second thing I would say is that this is a good time for a diet break if you have already been dieting. Instead of trying to lose weight on vacation, just aim to maintain it.
On vacations it is often easy to get a lot of steps in. You are not stuck at the office desk, you want to see many places in the other country, and you probably have more energy.
So if you don’t go to the gym or do any workouts, at least try to walk instead of using taxis etc.
If you stay at a hotel, you can get many of the proteins and healthy foods you need from a breakfast buffer. Such as some eggs, vegetables, fruits, yogurt, and so on.
If you stay in an airbnb, you could shop for some healthy groceries and eat a healthy breakfast before heading out for meals at restaurants.
While you want to enjoy the trip, you still might want to keep it in control somewhat. If you are already eating out, and not the most healthy foods, maybe drinking some wine and beer, adding regular ice creams and sodas to that, plus a bag of chips at the hotel room every evening, starts to go overboard. It is good to enjoy but not be a slob.
