Having a coach that matches you is really important. This could be the make or break point. You need someone to work 1-1 with to get great results. Group classes or fitness apps don’t do much when there is no one holding you accountable and tailoring your program to you.
So here is what I suggest…
Find a coach that relates to your struggles.
If you have a busy schedule, your coach should have empathy about that and be able to relate to that. If you need to lose fat, but your coach has never done any fat loss dieting themselves, they will not understand the struggles.
Find a coach that specializes in the goal you have.
If you want to be a good runner, why would you hire a bodybuilding coach? If you want to get shredded, a powerlifting coach wouldn’t be your best bet.

Find someone who leads by example.
The biggest red flag is the coach who doesn’t practice what they preach. They teach the theory of fat loss but have a belly. They teach you how to build muscle, but are not even going to the gym.
You want someone who inspires you by what they are doing and leads by example.
